FAITH COMPELS US TO ACTION

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

When the Lord called us to first sell everything and come and follow the Lord I was greatly inspired, by this great man of faith George Muller. Many of you know I never ask for money ever; well, it was examples from men of faith like George that made me determined to see God bring a move of God that only He can do and have the faith to believe would provide for not only me but what He is about to do today before His soon coming. As you see below, he would put many men of God to shame today. If you have never heard of George Muller, you really should read about his life. He lived in the 19th century in England and is well known for his work starting orphanages and schools. He had a great faith that God would always provide their needs. He practiced his faith by never asking anybody for donations, only asking God to provide. Not only would he not ask for money, but he would also not take any money from the government.

He managed to provide for thousands of kids solely from unsolicited gifts. He is well known for his work with orphans, but there is another part of his life that is just as inspiring. After his wife died, he remarried. He and his new wife went on missionary trips for the next 17 years. He travelled over 200,000 miles before there were airplanes. The most incredible thing about this MISSION was that He didn't start until he was 70 years old! Late in his life, he was still serving God in an incredible way.

He preached at all of the following places after he was 70 years old: England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, United States, Canada, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Asia Minor, Greece, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Bohemia, Russia, Poland, India, Wales, Australia, China, Japan, the Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Penang, Colombo, (Aus) Tasmania, New Zealand, and Ceylon. He travelled to many of these nations’ multiple times, and during his first trip to the United States, he visited the White House.

After his 70th birthday, George Muller was as "sharp in his mind." His story ought to be an encouragement to us to keep serving God until the day we die. Don't let old age stop your service to our King! Don't let any physical limitation stop you from serving God. Don't let your empty bank account stop you from serving God! Maybe it will change how you serve God, but it should never prevent you from serving God. Keep pressing on! The Lord is looking for real faith on His return and His peace be found in you. Precious saints no matter the level of your faith today, the bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God (Romans 10:17). If you desire more faith today, then ask the Holy Spirit to increase your faith to trust God for the impossible within your life and that of those around you.

TODAY'S REVIVAL STORY

1990 – Uganda As A Nation

Now this nation I have travelled extensively by every mode of transport to one side to the other and have had many experiences in spiritual warfare with witchdoctors to ministering to a cannibal and leading this man to Christ etc. So, everything I am going to discuss is more from a historical point of view as to how this nation came in to a time of national revival and the history that many may not be aware of today. The nation of Uganda has gone through many hardships. The most prominent occurred during the reign of the third president of that nation (Idi Amin: 1971-1979). His brutality credited him with the deaths of close to 500,000 people.

Though major changes occurred for the better following Idi Amin’s reign, Uganda is still ranked as one of the most corrupt nations in the world. The human rights abuses are also appalling, including torture, trafficking of children, and forced labour.

This revival account will discuss the spiritual revival that occurred in Uganda, beginning in the 1990s.

COVENANTED TO THE DEVIL

It was confessed that the Ugandan’s ancestors were worshippers of other gods and were directly involved with witchcraft and Satanism. The use of amulets to ward off evil spirits was commonly seen in public. The fear of the unseen world was an overwhelming reality in many people’s lives.

Rituals, not only to ward off evil spirits, but also to gain political control, obtain better jobs, and to achieve success in life, were commonly conducted. Human sacrifices were also common.

This preoccupation with the occult by the Ugandan people led to the confession of church leaders that the nation was in a covenant with the devil.

THE CONDITIONS OF UGANDA

The list of suffering experienced by the people of Uganda is extensive. The nation has been known as a country of pain, with the name “Uganda” becoming synonymous with death, due to the infighting of political leaders as they struggled for control.

Here are a few of the tragic conditions the Ugandan people were experiencing at that time:

► Entire villages, with thousands of people, were massacred, and it wasn’t always known who was doing the killing.

► Fear blanketed the nation.

► There were powerful forces of darkness behind the political leaders and they were tearing the nation apart.

► It was common to see dead bodies lying along the roadside, having been killed and left unburied for days. The stench of death was common.

► With there never being any investigations into abuses, soldiers were unbridled and did whatever they wanted. There were always road checks being made by soldiers, and you never knew what the outcome was going to be, as the rules would change by the minute.

► Christians were often prevented from attending churches.

► By 1984, they began killing church members and pastors. They would storm into churches with guns blazing, shooting at random.

► Many church services were conducted secretly in woods and in the swamps.

► At great risk, pastors would make visits to about 10 groups every day, arriving home late in the evening.

► When found meeting together, believers were taken to cells where they were tortured and maimed—the sadism being unspeakable.

► Hundreds of thousands died, with bodies clogging the Owen Falls Dam, and lining the shores of nearby Lake Victoria.

► Factories stopped operating.

► Essential services were not in existence.

► The nation’s economy was collapsing.

► The city of Kampala was very polluted and most of the buildings were damaged.

► The corruption was so severe that you couldn’t get a single thing done through the government without paying bribes.

► The World Health Organization predicted that by 1997 one-third of the population of Uganda would die from AIDS.

EXTRAORDINARY PRAYER AND THE CALL TO REPENTANCE

Due to the horrific plight of the people they began asking sincere questions:

    “What had Uganda done to God? Does God hate us?”

In the midst of his pain, one man asked a pastor:

    “Where is this God of power you speak of? Where is this God who you say answers prayer?”

The Church knew that the only thing that would turn the dire situation around was prayer. There was no help from human sources. It was as if the world had abandoned them.

Out of deep pain, suffering, sorrow, and fear, the prayers began to ascend. Two pastors, describing the depth of prayer, said:

    “It was like Rachel weeping for her children (Matthew 2:18). It was deep groaning prayer, with many tears.”

During these times of prayer, the presence of God would come down, manifesting itself like a cloud, or a mist, hanging over the people. When you walked into these meetings you were walking into something that was tangible.

This persistent and unrelenting prayer is what caused the turnaround.

BARRIER OF WITCHCRAFT BROKEN

In a suburb of the Ugandan capital Kampala, there was a well-known and powerful warlock. One pastor said that “there was a kind of fear that walked with this man,” as if just being close to him you could sense the power of darkness. This man was making death threats toward the Christians in the area, but as the believers began to pray for God’s protection, it was that warlock that died, and only within a few days after they started praying.

It was after the death of that man that it was said that the heavens were opened and a church in that area (Miracle Centre Cathedral) grew so much that they built a 10,500-seat sanctuary. In addition to that church’s growth there were 1,000 daughter churches that were started in other locations.

ALL CHURCHES EXPERINCED GROWTH

► It wasn’t just one church or ministry that brought the turnaround.

► One new church plant in 1995 (Christian Life Church), grew from 7 people to 2,000 in two weeks, and it now averages 25,000 during their 5 Sunday morning services.

► Every day there was a new church or ministry starting.

RESULTS OF THE REVIVAL

► Churches began to work together.

► Citywide pastor gatherings for mutual prayer and encouragement became common.

► Thousands were healed of AIDS, being declared HIV negative.

► One pastor said that from his congregation alone there were 372 AIDS patients that were healed of AIDS.

► The AIDS epidemic, projected to kill one-third of the Ugandan population, didn’t happen, and it was largely due to 1) the grace of God; 2) the commitment to abstinence; 3) faithfulness and loyalty in marriages.

► There was a 50% decrease in the crime rate.

► The government instituted a new ministry: “The Ministry of Ethics and Integrity.”

► Though there was still significant corruption throughout Uganda, one pastor reported that it was incomparable to what it was like 15 years ago.

► The economy turned around, with Uganda becoming one of the three fastest growing economies in Africa.

UGANDA DEDICATED TO GOD

Around mid-October 1999, the First Lady of Uganda, Janet Museveni invited church leaders to a meeting where she asked if they could assemble a national worship service, with the express purpose of dedicating the nation back to God and thanking Him for bringing them through a dark period in Uganda’s history.

On December 31, 1999, thousands of believers gathered in a stadium and conducted a united worship service, expressly stating that they were:

    “Covenanting our nation, Uganda, to the purposes of God and to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.”

Commenting on the Changes

Different church and government leaders, commenting on what they saw transpire, said:

    “Life has come. It is astounding. It is really a miracle. Nobody can deny it.”

And their further comments, when asked why God moved as He did, they said:

    “He was invited. People desired him. We humbled ourselves. We prayed. We paid the price, with our tears of repentance.”

So today Uganda is in desperate need for repentance revival for many false prophets have entered the church and the sheep of Christ need to come back to the gospel of the old rugged cross once more. I believe revival is coming in such a powerful way and once it sparks it will spread to all those that hinger and thirst precious saint’s hallelujah! So do not get off the repentance revival train that is moving full steam ahead until the Lord comes in a glorious way!

PRAYERS FOR TODAY'S FASTING PROGRAM

Let us pray saints:

1. Lord, please let your fire of revival fall upon every hungry heart that is reading this program today in Jesus Mighty Name!

2. Lord let your Holy Spirit fire fall upon each person's home today in Jesus Mighty Name!

3. Lord, we ask through the name of Your Son Jesus that you destroy every work of the devil delaying the fire of repentance revival coming to our lives in Jesus mighty name! 

4. Lord may every evil agents of darkness that were sent to manipulate and destroy the church and that of your remnant be exposed and rendered powerless in Jesus mighty name!

5. Lord, arrest our hearts, so we may be fully yourself today in Jesus Mighty Name!

6. Lord, we bind every spirit causing anyone to be lukewarm, weak or in slumber rendered powerless and ask you to come out of our lives in Jesus Might Name!

7. Lord just as you send revival in today's testimony, may it stir within the hearts first of those He is calling and those He is yet to touch in these End-times in Jesus Mighty Name!

8. Lord, let us know you more and seek the higher calling within our lives in Jesus Mighty Name.

9. Lord help us to in unity with our family, that we may serve You together in Jesus Mighty Name!

10. Lord we ask through the name of Your Son Jesus that you destroy every work of the devil delaying the fire of repentance revival coming to our lives in Jesus mighty name! 

11. Pray that God will reveal His requirements for genuine revival in your life, family, church, community, and nation. Ask God to start that revival in your own heart and life that repentance revival will flow.

12. Ask God what He wants you to do today to apply what He has revealed to you and run with it. What actions will you take after this fasting day?

13. Pray for an alertness and an awakening from spiritual slumber, do that you may be ablaze. Ask the Lord to awaken the remnant body of Christ and draw more saints into the Body of Christ.

14. Declare readiness over God’s people for radical change that will come from a powerful move of God!

15. Decree that lives are being characterised by an increasing hunger for a new move of God and experience Your healing power in Jesus mighty Name!

16. Ask God to do a fresh work within our heart this weekend, that just as you moved in Uganda, that you will start with us today and do great things in Jesus Mighty Name!

17. May revival come to each of our homes and change family members to be on fire for God in Jesus Mighty Name!

18. Lord we pray for Pastor Robert’s Meetings scheduled in 2023 starting again in South Africa in March, may You come and visit Your people within those respected nations as You have promised in Jesus Mighty name!

19. Any principality in the heavenlies delaying your progress and Gods messengers be removed in Jesus mighty name!

21. Any agent of satanic delay in my (office, home, school, place of work, city, and nation), withholding my promotion/graduation, revival may they be completely removed and rendered powerless in the mighty name of Jesus!

22. Father we ask that you please send angelic reinforcements from the 3rd heavens to release our blessings and arrest all demonic hinderances in the 2nd heavens, in the mighty name of Jesus!

23. Father for my shame, troubles, and delay, I shall receive double honour, in the mighty name of Jesus!

24. I refuse to give up until my testimony gives birth to many other testimonies and revival comes to my home, church, city, and nation, in the mighty name of Jesus!

25. Lord let your Holy Spirit fire fall upon each person's home today to stir revival in the hearts of Your remnant in Jesus Mighty Name!
